High Above Cave Lake

This photo was taken off a dirt road that begins in Cave Lake State Park and climbs up into the high country of the Schell Creek Range. The road (in May) was still covered with snow and was muddy, making for an interesting trip. However, the views more than made the journey worth it. The valley in the background is the Steptoe Valley (where Ely is located).
