Arid Desert Terrain at the Lower Elevations
The terrain on the Spring Mountains Scenic Drive is diverse, to say the least. The lower elevation of the drive are very arid desert, with heat to match (at least during the summer). This photo was taken at the lower elevations of the drive and looks toward the lower peaks of the Spring Mountains (the higher peaks lie off to the right of the photo and aren't visible).
