This photo was taken in front of the gondola station at Heavenly Village in South Lake Tahoe. If you look closely, you can see the cut in the forest where the gondola climbs up into the mountains. The Heavenly Gondola is a long ride that gains significant elevation - one reason it's so popular with sightseers, as the views are "truly Heavenly" from the top.
